CAMP JEEP RETURNS TO THE MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW Popular Attraction to Run 10-Days during Event
Miami, FL – October 20, 2014 – Camp Jeep®, a unique, interactive, off-road experience, returns this year to the 2014 Miami International Auto Show presented by Ally Auto.
As the ultimate off-road driving test, Camp Jeep®’s 20,000-square foot attraction will give auto show attendees a chance to experience the extreme off-road capabilities of Jeep vehicles in a perfect outdoor setting.
Complete with an interactive zone and test track, product specialists will chauffeur participants through a course comprised of several obstacles that simulate some of the rigorous testing that Jeep vehicles endure before customers get behind the wheel.
Inside a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, Wrangler Rubicon, Cherokee Trailhawk or Grand Cherokee, consumers will experience the brand’s on and off-road capabilities in Ground Clearance, Traction, Stability, Articulation and Suspension categories. Camp Jeep® also features a thrilling, "can't miss" hill climb on the 18-foot high, 35 degree Jeep Mountain – the icon of the ride. Riders are over 22 feet off the ground when they sit on top of Jeep Mountain.
Trail Rated Pass, a new obstacle for 2014, demonstrates extreme three-wheeling over a 50 foot long, 8' tall obstacle. As the vehicle ascends and descends eight feet, the vehicle also articulates side to side over uneven ramps set at a 25 percent incline. Hang on tight, as the vehicles teeter side-to-side on this new obstacle!
Camp Jeep will be open during all hours of the Miami International Auto Show. Riders will be automatically entered into the Chrysler Group National Giveaway for a chance to win $45,000 toward any eligible Chrysler Group vehicle and receive a souvenir e-photo of their experience. Participants 17 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and be at least 44 inches tall. Each ride is about 5 minutes long.
The Miami International Auto Show presented by Ally Auto is among the largest nationally and takes place Friday, November 7 through Sunday, November 16, 2014. Admission to the show is $15 for adults, $6 children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under.
